Chapter 147 — The Long-Awaited...

Years of Heartflutter Page 285 of 501

"That business." Wei Jin remembered now. Sui Guangheng seemed to have mentioned before that Zou Ruoguang had been bullied, and had even asked him to see whether he could get revenge for Zou Ruoguang in Songjiang. But Wei Jin had been busy chasing Liu Ting at the time, and it had slipped his mind. Only now, with Zou Ruoguang jogging his memory, did it come back to him.

To be continued.

916. Young Master Wei's Scheme

916. Young Master Wei's Scheme. "Exactly—it makes my blood boil just thinking about it. That Yang Ce—I'd love to do him in," Zou Ruoguang said viciously. (In the previous chapter, 'Zou Ruoming' should have been 'Zou Ruoguang.' Ugh, I can't believe I got that wrong—a correction is hereby noted.) That time at Jingshan, he had taken a serious beating. Though it was not Yang Ce who had personally laid hands on him, it was inextricably tied to Yan.

As it happened, even Sui Guangheng could not afford to offend the man who had done the beating, so the thrashing had simply been endured for nothing. Sui Guangheng had said afterward that he would help Zou Ruoguang get his revenge, but Zou Ruoguang knew that the Sui family's influence reached only as far as Jingshan; even Sui Guangqi could exert no pull over in Songjiang. So if he wanted revenge, he could only count on his cousin Wei Jin, who was well connected in Songjiang.

As for whose relationship was closer, naturally it was Sui Guangheng and Wei Jin who were tighter. Though Zou Ruoguang was also Wei Jin's older cousin, his family was very ordinary, and he always felt a certain distance between himself and Wei Jin.

Wei Jin, though, was decent enough to this cousin of his and did not put on airs. Above all, it was because this cousin was just like him—the sly, quietly lecherous type: presentable on the surface, but forever up to some rotten, smoke-trailing mischief behind people's backs.

So this time he had brought Zou Ruoguang into the scheme, to have him play a part in the little drama—aimed at Liu Baoqiang and Liu Ting, of course. According to Wei Jin's investigation, Liu Baoqiang and Liu Ting had done no more than hold hands at most, or at the very outside, kiss; their relationship had not progressed any further. Which was precisely why Wei Jin was determined to land Liu Ting as quickly as possible.

If Liu Ting let Liu Baoqiang get her into bed first, Wei Jin reasoned, then even if he won her over afterward, it would leave a sour taste in his mouth.

The plan was in fact quite simple: Zou Ruoguang would play the role of an ordinary guest at the resort, and at the resort a girl would be brought in to pose as his girlfriend, who would then lure Liu Baoqiang into a trap—a classic badger game.

Playing the badger game at the Xianren Resort—haw haw, now that's original, Wei Jin thought lewdly.

The reason he had chosen the Xianren Resort was that it was Sui family property: even if he cut up rough this much, no one would interfere, and the girl was one of their own besides, so nothing would go wrong.

"Don't worry, little brother. I'll get your revenge for you. If this trick works today, then one of these days I'll direct a scene for you too," Wei Jin said with a dark chuckle, clapping Zou Ruoguang on the shoulder.

"Wonderful! Then it's settled," Zou Ruoguang said excitedly. "Wei Jin, hurry up and tell me the details—how am I supposed to play my part?"

"Here's how it goes," Wei Jin said, and laid out his plan for Zou Ruoguang.

Zou Ruoguang's eyes lit up with a golden gleam as he listened, and then he slapped his thigh and cried out, "Brilliant! Fucking brilliant! Now that girl Liu Ting will have to break up with that Liu Baoqiang brat—and you'll have your opening, cousin!"

"Heh heh, who do you think I am? A move this brilliant could only come from your kid brother here." Wei Jin was puffed up with self-satisfaction at Zou Ruoguang's praise, claiming the trick he had seen in a movie as his own invention.

"All right, it's getting late. Go find that girl who's going to play opposite me, and let's rehearse a bit. We don't want to slip up when the time comes." Zou Ruoguang said.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll go find her right now." Wei Jin nodded, turned, and left the room. Zou Ruoguang cursed inwardly. Damn it all, Yang Ce—I'm going to use this trick to destroy you.

If Yang Shuyu had known what Zou Ruoguang was thinking, he would not have known whether to laugh or cry. To cry, because he was supposedly so easy to fool—passing off a trick Wang Lin had already worn out and you still have the nerve to use it? To laugh, because the more a rival stooped to this, the less of a threat he was. He could simply ignore the man entirely.

Wei Jin was on very familiar terms with everyone at the Xianren Resort. He called his uncle Sui Yuemin and told him he was holding a class reunion at the resort, asking him to have a word with the staff below and cooperate with him as much as possible.

Sui Yuemin was on good terms with Wei Jin's father, too. And the Xianren Resort, after all, was fairly close to Songjiang, so the construction and maintenance of the resort had basically all been handled by Wei Jin's father's company, which had saved Sui Yuemin no small amount in upkeep costs. So when Wei Jin made his request, Sui Yuemin naturally agreed without a moment's hesitation.

Wei Jin left the room and found Gu, the resort's mama-san. Gu knew this was a relative of the boss's, a man of no small standing, so she came over to greet him warmly: "Well, if it isn't Young Master Wei! You haven't been by to play in ages—your big sister's missed you to death!"

Gu was a little past her prime, somewhere in her thirties, but she had taken excellent care of herself and did not look her age at all. She was also a remarkably sensual woman and exceptionally skilled in bed. Wei Jin had played with her several times, and the pleasure had been beyond measure.

"What's this, Sister Gu, you've been missing me already?" Wei Jin grinned and gave her backside a squeeze. "Just wait—in a bit I'm going to screw you senseless, you little minx."

Having risen to the rank of mama-san, Gu was naturally not short of money. She played with Wei Jin partly because he was a relative of the boss, but also because he was young and vigorous—his stamina might not be anything to write home about, but he made up for it in sheer number of rounds.

"Who's afraid of who, Young Master Wei? How about we go inside and give it a try right now?" Gu threw him a flirtatious glance.

"Not now—I've got business to attend to." Though Gu had him itching with desire, Wei Jin still waved her off. "Tonight. Tonight I'll give you the time of your life."

Pleasurable as his time with Gu was, though, pleasure of the body and pleasure of the spirit were two entirely different things. Wei Jin felt that pursuing Liu Ting was the more important matter.

"Go on then, what's this business? Your big sister will take care of it for you." Gu shot him a look and smiled seductively.

"Find me a reliable girl—a pretty one. She has to be pretty. Not pretty won't do." Wei Jin lowered his voice.

"Find you a girl?" Gu was taken aback, then a little displeased. "What's this, Young Master Wei? Tired of playing with your big sister, are you? Want to trade in for a new one?"

"Sister Gu, listen to yourself. Do you really think I'm that kind of man?" Wei Jin said with a laugh. "Those girls—none of them have your skill. I wouldn't go even if you paid me. I need someone to act in a little play with me."

"Act? Act in what?" Hearing that Wei Jin wasn't looking for a girl to play with, Gu dropped her displeased expression and asked, puzzled, "What would a girl know about acting, apart from that one thing?"
