Chapter 358 — This Is Simply Too Wicked! Before Su Taizao Could Even Get a Word Out, He Too Was Floored by a Punch from the Other Bodyguard, and the Private Room Erupted with Howls and Wails.
If anyone had passed by the door of that private room just then without knowing what was going on, they would have sworn a pig was being butchered inside.
Wei Zhao curled his lip. Want to set me up, do you? Then the two of you can enjoy a taste of being set up yourselves first. Bye-bye, gentlemen.
Stealthily, he used his phone to record the two men's wretched state for a little while, then slipped noiselessly out of Room 418, took the elevator down, and in a moment was out of the hotel.
Wei Zhao had barely touched the wine — only two sips of red — and in truth, even if he had drunk a great deal, he would not have gotten drunk. So when he reached the parking lot, he got straight into his car and drove off in the direction of the villa.
An Jianwen and Su Taizao might be the illustrious Four Young Masters of Songshan, but if they ever learned that the men who beat them were Li Cihua's, they would probably have no choice but to swallow the loss in silence. There would be no getting even for this.
On the way home, Shen Yushu called again. Wei Zhao picked up with a smile. "What is it? Something else?"
"Sister Yaoyao made me check up on you again, to see if you've been up to no good," Shen Yushu said, giggling.
"Heh, no, I'm almost home." Wei Zhao smiled. The young miss was cold on the outside but warm at heart — she really did care about him.
"Xiaoshu, don't talk nonsense. I was only afraid this creature would make a spectacle of itself and get filmed and sent to me — that would be ugly!" Gu Mengyao huffed. There was no way she would ever admit to what was in her heart.
"Hehe, Sister Yaoyao's angry!" Shen Yushu stuck out her tongue. "Brother Arrow, did you take care of those two?"
"I did. I'll tell you when I get back." Wei Zhao thought of An Jianwen and Su Taizao and found it funny — those two really did have the worst luck in the world. He wondered whether the power Li Cihua stood for was the greater, or An Jianwen and Su Taizao's — which of them was mightier?
Inside Room 418 on the fourth floor of the Brilliant Starlight Grand Hotel, a one-sided beating was underway. The two bodyguards, cool as you please, were laying fists and feet on An Jianwen and Su Taizao, who had already been beaten into pig's heads.
"You dare hit me? Do you know who I am?" An Jianwen screamed at the top of his lungs, seizing the moment when the bodyguard paused to switch hands.
"I don't care who you are. Since you dared come here looking for trouble today, don't expect to walk out on your own two feet!" Su Capsule retorted with a cold laugh, while carefully dabbing the blood from Li Cihua's face with a tissue. "Brother Cihua, are you all right? Should we go to the hospital?"
"I'm fine!" Li Cihua waved a hand. An injury of this degree was not enough to slow him down — it was only frightening to look at. Still, he felt he had lost face. A man of his stature, who had the city eating out of his hand, black and white alike, and here he was with his nose bloodied by another man's blow — it really was a bit humiliating.
"I'm An Jianwen! An Jianwen of the Four Young Masters of Songshan! And you dare hit me?" An Jianwen kept shouting while he still had the chance; he was terrified that in another moment the bodyguard would land one more punch on his mouth and leave him mute for good.
"Hold on!" Hearing An Jianwen's words, Li Cihua was slightly taken aback. He raised a hand at once to signal the two bodyguards to stop. "What did you say? Who are you?"
"I'm Su Taizao, the third of the Four Young Masters of Songshan! And he's An Jianwen — Brother An!" Su Taizao scrambled up from the floor and pointed at Li Cihua, his face hideous. "Well? Scared now?"
"Scared, not exactly. But there seems to be some misunderstanding here." Li Cihua rose to his feet and walked over to the man who called himself An Jianwen. "You really are An Jianwen?"
"No kidding," An Jianwen wiped the blood from his face and said darkly. "Want to see my ID card?"
"No need. Since you say so, I'll believe you. Let me introduce myself first — my name is Li Cihua." Li Cihua waved a hand, and the two bodyguards helped An Jianwen and Su Taizao to their feet.
"I don't bloody well care who you are! Sparkler, double-banger, great-god cannon — what do I care what kind of firecracker you are! You hit me — just you wait, tomorrow your whole house will be ransacked!" Su Taizao howled, clawing at the air.
"Taizao, stop shouting!" When An Jianwen heard the name Li Cihua, his brows knitted at once. He looked up at the man — and sure enough, he much resembled the Li Cihua in the files he had seen, except that this Li Cihua's nose was now broken. "You're Brother Cihua?"
"Yes, I'm Li Cihua." Li Cihua nodded. "Young Master Wen, I think there may be a misunderstanding here? You arranged to meet me tonight at nine, in the nightclub on the fifth floor of this very hotel — so why did you come to my private room ahead of time?"
"I... I invited a friend to dinner... He said he'd taken a fancy to these two girls. Eh? Where is he?" An Jianwen turned his head, only to find that Wei Zhao had long since vanished...
What a colossal misunderstanding this had turned out to be — the owner of the room was Li Cihua! Which meant this beating had most likely been suffered for nothing. Earlier, An Jianwen had been vowing inwardly that the moment he stepped out of this room he would summon his men, that he absolutely would not let anyone in this room off easy! Dragging them off to have their kidneys cut out would have been too good for them!
But now, this grievance could only be swallowed down in silence.
"Invited a friend to dinner?" Li Cihua frowned slightly. "And before that — who threw that wine bottle in here?"
"It was my friend there..." At this, An Jianwen suddenly called out down the corridor, "Wei Zhao? Wei Zhao?"
"Wei Zhao? The friend you invited is called Wei Zhao?" Li Cihua's pupils contracted sharply. "You're saying it was Wei Zhao who threw the bottle in?"
"What? Brother Cihua, you know Wei Zhao?" From Li Cihua's tone, it sounded as though the man knew him.
"Know him? How could I not know him?" Li Cihua sneered. "More than know him — he's a mortal enemy of mine! Young Master Wen, one thing is certain: that Wei Zhao set you up!"
Hearing this, An Jianwen's face darkened as well, and he sank into thought. He was no fool; piecing together all the strange turns of the evening, he arrived at a conclusion at once.
Namely, that Wei Zhao had done it on purpose. He had probably already known that Li Cihua was in this private room, and had long known that Xuexue and Huahua, that pair of top girls, were here as well — which was precisely why he had deliberately called for those two, and then used An Jianwen and Su Taizao as his weapons, delivering them straight into Li Cihua's room.
In the end, a single wine bottle had sent the whole conflict up in flames; and when the two of them, like idiots, barged in to demand the girls, Wei Zhao had run off!
"Damn him!" An Jianwen ground his teeth in fury. This time he truly had been set up by Wei Zhao! That bastard was simply too wicked — if An Jianwen's guess was right, Wei Zhao had never had the least intention of calling for a hostess in the first place; it was only after a trip to the restroom, where he caught sight of Li Cihua along with Xuexue and Huahua, that the idea had struck him on the spur of the moment and he had hatched this vicious scheme!
